Regal Cleaners – Lakeland, FL

Regal Cleaners opened its doors in Lakeland in 2003 with the philosophy of charging one low price for every garment. It wasn't long before it became a success story. Paul Sexton, a Central Florida entrepreneur purchased the business in 2005 and began to make changes to further enhance customer appeal. Square footage was added and state of the art equipment was purchased so the laundry portion of the business could be done in-house. This side of the business was originally outsourced to a company in Orlando and the process took 4-5 days. Now shirts are done on the premises so same day service is available on every garment. The business also added a front counter computer system which reduces customer wait times and keeps better track of each garment throughout the cleaning process. Additionally, the store now accepts credit and debit cards. In late 2009, pick up and delivery service began which offers to-your-door service at no additional charge. The business continues to grow steadily because customers often spend three or more times as much at other dry cleaners. Some were skeptical, fearing their clothes will go through a cleaning process that is inferior to others. They have since discovered that the cleaning process is the same. Customers often compare the low price of our dry cleaning to other items they use every day.
